Tripple slide weight

We are looking seriously at a tripple slide and wondering about the weight. The campers are weighing in at 4000lbs and wondering how others have done with that load. We have 2001 dodge 3500 dually. Wondering about the swaying back and forth also.

We have a 2002 Dodge 3500 dually diesel. Northern Lite lists our Ten-2000 CD at 2360 lbs. With it loaded on our Dodge, the GVW exceeds the allowable.

Gee whiz, bedlam. 6000 pound loaded TC. Wow.

That is the reality I faced when upgrading from my 4000 lb Arctic Fox. On top of that, I tow an enclosed trailer with a 1000 lb hitch/tongue weight. I would have been at the limits of a 450/4500 which is why I upgraded to my 5500 before I bought my Host. Just carrying the Host, you are the limit of a 350/3500 but can do it. Both Dana and AAM rate their DRW axles over 10k lbs and the vehicle manufacturers downgrade it with softer suspension - Tires and rims are usually not the limit on a DRW.

Our 30 year old no-slide S&S says 3,050 dry. At the CAT scale it's 3,500 dry and 4,500 loaded and ready to camp. Our single slide AF 1140 was 5,300 ready to camp and put our 97 Dodge 1,100 over sticker but was under on axle and tires.

Technically doable, but ALOT of weight for a 20 year old pickup.

Feds didn't make it mandatory till '06 although some trucks had them before that date.
He can do what we did back then and use the trucks gawrs as a load limit.

Yep it has a stamp

That would be a 60 gallon tank. I wish my FW tank was that big.

Kind of interested in the answer myself. Our AF1150 fully loaded is around 5,200 pounds. The Host Mammoth triple slide seems to suggest a lighter dry weight so would it weigh about the same?
