It has been a long time since I went to a trade show and this one I visited today, the Seattle Fall RV Show, had more Truck Campers than I have seen before, at a RV Convention.

More information can be found at this Clicky Link

The show runs from today, September 11th through Sunday September 14th next to the NFL Seattle Seahawks Football Stadium at;

800 Occidental Ave S
Seattle, WA 98117

Artic Fox โ€“ Adventure โ€“ Wolf Creek โ€“ Eagle Cap by; Apache Camping Center with Karl Baker

Oh, yeah. They had a mess of other campers, Motorhomes, Class C and the likes, there too. They had like a dozen vendors there and that was a big disappointment. The seminars were good for those wanting to start out, learning to travel with their RVs and places to go.

I go to the spring show in Seattle. They typically had Past Time, Northern Lite, Adventurer, Arctic Fox, Chalet, Host and Lance.

Both Apache and Clearview dealers are close to my home - If anyone needs me to check something at these locations, I can swing by for you.

Show closes at 6 tonight... which wouldn't give me much time at the show by the time I battle rush hour traffic. Saturday evening sounds like a better time to go.

I've met Karl Baker... Very professional.

I am going to make every attempt possible to get to the RV show this evening.

Any TC display that does not include S&S would disappoint me.

The Seattle RV show consists of vendors, not manufacturers -and is very limited in terms of TC's.

It looked like Apache Camper brought their entire inventory up from Tacoma (not quite true, Apache has even more TC's in Tacoma) but currently limited to Arctic Fox and Adventurer models (as of my visit there two weeks ago).
Lance was represented by a local dealer with a display of perhaps five models.

Torklift had a booth with a crew of knowledgeable tech folks.
Ah, and a 10-percent discount coupon.

The Seattle RV Show is worth visiting about every two or three years for those interested primarily in truck campers IMO.

I would like to see some of the rare RVs and campers at these shows, ones that you can't just drive 5 miles to the local Lance dealer and see anytime you want (for free too!)

One of the things I was told by the Lance Factory Rep was the Lance 1191 is being discontinued after this year.

Saw the seal on the Artic Fox slide and was very impressed with the seal and quality. One of the issues I have with my slide is how much get through the seal, Wind, Dust and Cold.

I had hoped to see a Lance 1172, but it didn't get shipped from the factory, in time, I was told.

Sorry to hear the 1191 will be going away. I think that camper has the single best, most usable floor plan of any camper available period. If I was in the market, that is the camper I would buy. Of course it would have to sit in my driveway till I was able to afford a suitable truck to put her on.

We hadn't planned on going this year but perhaps we'll take a look see if there are that many TC's on display
