TTs and their Manufacturers (list?)

Having just returned from an 18 day trip with our TT, I got several opportunities to walk around campgrounds and look at LOTS of TTs and MHs. I am amazed and how many different companies manufacture RVs but I also know that many companies are consolidated. I was curious if anyone on here had ever compiled a list. In another thread here on this forum I saw this: "Denali is Dutchmen --> Thor." I would love to see a list that shows which company names are connected.

I did make a second tab on the document called "Previous RV Companies"... I started trying to document mergers and companies that have gone out of business.

Artic, you say you camp at FW. I'm going there this summer but want to keep the kids in a tent on the site to have some sanity. do you recall if you can put a tent on the site as well?

When you look around campgrounds you see so many different brands and models of RVs. A dealer told us a couple of years ago that something like 2/3 of the manufacturers went out of business since the beginning of the last recession. It would be interesting to also see a list of RVs that were still being made say around 10 years ago or even older than that.

I went ahead and made the Google doc - if you know of updates (and I'm sure there are plenty!), please let me know and I will make them. Or feel free to edit the sheet yourself, it's editable for all.

They love variety in Australia. I counted 124 manufacturers of Caravans(Travel Trailers) alone. There is very little tieup between the makers.

Know what you mean about ArticFox. We camp at Fort Wilderness with over 700 sites and rarely see another AF. Did you see up there?

Wow, that was a lot of work. Neat list. Thanks for sharing

Prior to the drop in the RV industry there where a lot more.

I see one line not in your list still made by Thor. Komfort and it's line of campers.

Lance also in still very active.

And then there is new companies formed out of the bankrupt ones a few years ago.

Oh yes! That looks very familiar - I believe I used that when I created my list. I just added in the parent companies.
