Well the DW wants a new toy hauler and in order to keep her happy I will need to upgrade the goat. We have decided on a new or CPO Chevy 3500 Diesel, drw. What are pros and cons. For the time being this will be a daily driver.

The L5P does rip, noticeably more responsive than the previous version and the ram air hood, just looks the part. The MPG in my '18 is better than what I could get in my '15 with less power. Great choice.

Congratulations on your new ride. We had a '15 GMC Duramax dually for 3 and 1/2 years before going to the dark side. The only issues we had were a minor oil leak and an emissions issue with the DEF tank, fixed quickly under warranty.

I changed out the stock fuel tank for a 60 gallon Titan replacement tank but I'm not sure Titan has them for the new GM models. We could tow over 500 miles without stopping for fuel and did not lose any bed space. Our new Ford has a 48 gallon tank and I wish it was bigger. I also changed out the stock shock absorbers to some Bilstein 4600's which made a noticeable difference with the empty and loaded ride.

Have fun!

Get yourself a pad of those sticky post-it notes so you can write yourself a note to remind yourself that you are towing something back there. ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy ...

Congratulations! Was the GM a little more money than a Ram or did you not even look?

Parking, narrow drive thrus, canโ€™t use automatic car washes are cons. None while towing.

But learn to keep it in your lane when driving. Living and driving in the country I see far too many DRW drivers letting their wheels/fenders extend across center stripes on narrow country roads and highways, especially if there are no paved shoulders.

Must be wider spaces out there somewhere ๐Ÿ™‚

My SRW 2500 backed in to a spot at the grocery, work and big box have the tires on the lines, both sides. I best park out in overflow or some joker will park right next to my driver's door.
