before I Took the camper off the truck, decided to get it weighed at the local truck stop before and after.
Was surprised that all the weight was on the rear wheels, thought some would be on the front.Weight is with me in the truck,200 lbs.

Empty 6980
steer axle 4100
drive axle 2880

Loaded with camper 8860
steer axle 4080
drive axle 4780
With my camper the COG is on top of rear axle

I'm surprised the truck is that light. My 2015 supercab F350 is just a couple pounds shy of 8000 with the fuel tank full. Diesel dually though.

My 2005 F250 SC SB with PSD was 4500 lbs front and 2750 lbs rear (scale would fluctuate between 2740 and 2760) without tailgate, me or anything in the truck. The 2015 weights sound about right for a gasser.

You must be listening too much to F150 salesmen?

Now when your short and light camper do real trick to rear axle weight, think what mine does.

Kayteg, it doesn't look like you have that humongous thing all the way forward in the bed?

No, I have 12" space behind the cabin. Whole set started with cab-over resting on my roof lights what moving the camper back solved to some degree. Even with light covers removed and 1/2" shims on the bed I have minimal clearance.
Than I found I really enjoy the extra cargo space behind the cabin and having beefed up suspension on dually, I don't have to worry about too much weight on the rear. Still have yet to make trip with the camper to scales, but my rear empty is like 3300 lb, while the 4 tires give me about 12,000lb capacity.
