Loaded the camper Saturday and weighed.

Truck full of diesel fuel, camper full of water, LP gas, dishes, pots & pans, linens, etc. etc. (no food or drink).

Loaded weight 12,640 lbs.

Rear Axle weight 7,620 lbs.

Front Axle weight 5,020 lbs.

============================

Truck weight 8,455 lbs.
Camper weight 4,185 lbs.

I ordered Torklift Stable Loads and a DualLiner bed liner which will add a few pounds to truck. DualLiner.

I know, I posted the picture on another thread, but I like it! 🙂

Just wondering how much over weight you might be? I am new and have posted a question about payload. I have a f-350 dually with a gvwr of 13k and the truck curb weight is 9230. So I wonder how am I suppose to get a TC that fits into the 3ooo pounds I have left. It seems to me that your TC approaching 6k would be pushing the limits and how comfortable are you? I really want a TC but the weight issue is a big concern. Do you have an opinion you could share.

thanks

I will be on the edge, but the DRW has a larger GVWR than the SRW I carried the camper on for 35,000 miles.

The Artic Fox sounds like my Cougar FW. It had a mandatory options package.

Don't see a sig, so curious to what year Dodge?

The Lance brochure says that weighs 2964lbs dry. Do you carry that much stuff or is the listed weight that far off?

Its kinda like Northwood when they post the dry weight of their Arctic Fox TCs.......thats until you add the Fox Value Package option that ALL their TCs come off the line with. Thats another almost 600 lbs to the total.

Dry weight for Standard Camper

The weight difference is due to water + LP gas + options. Major options on my 1050S - generator and A/C. There are several smaller options that add to the total (roof rack, slide-out pantry, outside lights, battery separator, Fastguns, etc.)

And then there is the pots & pans, dishes, linens, chemicals, small tool set, a few books, etc.

We haven't even filled the pantry and refrigerator with food and drink or added our clothing, wife's makeup stuff, etc. etc. etc.

Yes, it adds up. Probably after adding it all together plus our bodies, I would not be surprised to see the total weight well over 13,000 lbs. and the filled and loaded camper approaching 5,000 lbs.

Ummm - I hate to tell you this, but you're going to get some damage if you try and park that beast in the garage.

Nice looking rig - Hope you have many pleasant journeys to come.
