Whats a Reasonable Offer??

Were looking at a trailer. New at Camping World and this would be the first RV I've ever purchased...

Link to manufactures web page: Clickey

The dealership has 2 or 3 of them. 2017 models listed right at $26k. I've looked all over the net at prices and their fairly inline with each other...

All that being said, What is a reasonable offer for a trailer like this??

One last thing, Once you close in on the deal, try to sweeten it with options that they can give you. Are you getting 30 gal tanks? An electric jack? A multi year warranty? Toppers for the slides (I personally don't care for them but some folks do).
Key up that trailer on line here and see if there is any chat on it.

Good Luck and happy Trails.

It must be time to go, the suns out and I've got a full tank of diesel!
We have a granite fireplace hearth! Love to be a little different.

I would start at 30% off MSRP and then come up only to the point I really want it. At some point you have to determine your walk away from the deal price.

I'm by no means defending camping world but how do they stay in business if they are that horrible? I'm honestly asking a legit question and not trying to stir the pot. I've not dealt with any rv dealers so I have no experience.

thing to really spend time looking at is leaks spend extra time searching for water damage. and check the best you can the floor for water marks ,if you find some it could have been in a flood area. good luck, remember we warned you.

I would want a trailer manufactured close to my home so if it needs factory support it is close by.

Camping world is the only dealer near me that deals on Heartland's Mallard line. We love it. I have read all the cons about camping world and am cautious.... I'm a mechanically inclined person so I probably won't deal with a dealership for much other than major fixes/problems/items.

I plan to spend the better part of an afternoon looking at every aspect of it before I ever sign a single thing.

I've never bought a camper before and wondered how low to hit them. :-). Anything else I should think about?

Offer them as low as you feel, they will sell as high as they can. Offer 18k

Edit: even if you get a good deal I'd still look around, there's tons of post on here about camping world, check the search engine.

I always post this additional advice:

Also, try to negotiate an out the door price so they don't try to include BS fees when signing the papers.

Remember, you are not there to be friends with the sales person. Be stern and let them know you are willing to walk out.

Bring in printouts of other RV's for sale from other places. If they see you looking at them after coming back from talking to the manager, a deal will be made in your favor (from my experience).

It never hurts to ask for free add-ons such as them installing Max-Air vents etc.

before you buy look at the TT with a fine tooth comb and make them fix it before you sign any papers. esp with camping world. they have a back habit of not following up on service. you might want to look up complaints about them before you buy from them

If a trailer is $50,000...the cost is about 1/2 ($25,000) So when they knock off $5,000....drop in bucket....Cut the price in half, add $5,000 - $10,000 for profit for dealer.

There's a lot of markup ON TT's, way more than on cars.
My Tt was originaly 26K but was marked down to 24K..
I offered (not expecting they'd take it) 20K plus my trade (value $2k at best). They gladly accepted my offer.

So I would start at 20K and come up 1~2K.

2017 model so comps will be hard to find but floorplan looks same as 2016 model

Start at $20K out the door......
