Wife happy with the things you buy for the trailer?

My wife accuses me of always spending more on the trailer than I do on her. That can't be true (or is it). Here are the permanent things that I have bought:
New tires (after 6 years)
tailgater
kill switch
vent covers
satellite coax plug in
sewer hose tube
range cover
closet bar (goes over clothes bar to keep clothes from bouncing off)
Heater coil in AC
Tons of unattached stuff

So what do you think? I buy these things to make her comfortable, right? right? Happy wife, happy life.

My dog does not object to anything I buy for the trailer as long as he gets a biscuit.

No link, just go to Walmart and get a spring loaded bar that will fit above your clothes bar. You can find them in the closet and clothes hanger section. They're very cheap. Our clothes don't hit the floor after a bumpy ride.

I still don't know what this item is that you are referring to? Any link?

I bought mine a JD 455 now I can't get her off it long enough to play with it. Had to buy her steel handled garden tools because she broke the others throwing them at me.

The very best years of my entire life have been spent in the arms of another mans wife.My Mother!

I guess I am lucky, mine never complains about anything I buy for the outdoors....
I do not complain about her buying shoes and boots either, so long as she does not try to bring over 2-3 pair on our trips.

Same here. The best thing I bought for the TT is the power tongue jack, because she does the hitching/unhitching when in the campgrounds. She loves it.

Wife really doesn't hardly ever complain or question when something is bought or added to or for our RV. boats, home, or vehicles and not clothes or shoes either as we decide together on nearly all purchases. She's free to spend whatever for her real personal needs and wants and so am I. Other than just replacing worn out items or items that break and need replacing as that's a given for either of us to do and fast. We very happily work together and have for nearly 56 years now and for our 52 years of RV'ing and 55 years of boating and it makes for a very happy life and a wonderful marriage. 2 happy congenial peas in a pod!!!

When I want something new for the trailer, I say, "You know, honey, I was thinking of getting a framulator, so we don't have so many hybolical fantods. Whaddya think?" When she understands the reason behind my purchases, she gets wholeheartedly on board. 😉

Every time my wife buys something she says it is for the trailer so I don't question what she is buying. As for what I buy for the trailer, she does not pay much attention.

woodman1, simple closet bar can be bought at Walmart. They are spring loaded and keep the clothes from jumping off the main clothes bar by going over the top.

I am "the wife", and I'm the one who buys stuff for our camper. My husband is okay with it; after all, his road bike habit is rather pricey too, so he can't say much...

My wife thinks the camping thing is fine. For me.

Not so much for her.

But....the success of our 26 year relationship is based on my absences...so win win.

By the way....SHE'S the one that bought a Kuerig for the trailer.:)

Sounds to me like your wife doesn't really like RVing.

Curious about the closet bar. Where did you purchase it?
