222813 miles 6.0L 3.73:1
Averaging 10.4 mpg carrying my 4000 lb camper. (10,540 lbs total)
Still doesn't use a drop of oil between oil changes that have been done every 5000 miles.
Still wearing the factory brakes.
Less than $1000 spent on repairs.

The perfect camper for just me. :B

I'm still a happy camper. :B

Brakes are getting thin. Time to replace the factory brake pads.

The truck used a little oil since the last oil change. I don't feel bad about that at all. With 230,000 miles on it and hauling my 4000 pound camper for every one of the last 5000 miles, I'm good. 😉

This has sure been a great truck.

He has a gas 6.0 engine, 10 mpg loaded is good. 15 mpg even with a diesel when loaded with a camper is hard to do, most are in the 12/13 mpg realm.

15 mpg towing a big camper or a big TC?? Lol. You must either be grumpy all the time, only looking while going downhill or drivin Miss Daisy!

There's something about these GM truck with all wheel disc brakes that make them last seemingly forever.

My truck has 74k on it, brakes are still in very good condition even with all the camper hauling and towing I do.

Most of TC owners drive their truck in passive mode, so they don't use brakes very often, even in rare city traffic.
I put 180,000 miles during my ownership of 1999 F450 and even the truck was used for heavy equipment hauling, I replaced front pads only once, while never touching the rear.
I always had a tendency to observe traffic to avoid unnecessary braking and for decades I manage to make >100,000 miles on most of braking pads.
Lately I put Akebono, ceramic pads on my sedan and rechecking it after 120,000 miles, I still had above 70% of the pads thickness.
Sold the sedan since, but quick calculation makes Akebono rated at 400,000 miles. That on car who has high % of city driving.

Your truck will look good with those tires and wheels on it. They will be my choice in a while after I see how my Michelins do.

This spring I did a 540 mile trip here in Idaho with the cruise set at 70 on my 2012 GMC 6.0 gasser and averaged a surprising 10.5 round trip. I really thought going that fast with the high RPM would kill my mileage, but it was similar to what I was getting at 55 in Alaska.

Youse guys with the spark ignition engines wanna see something cool?

Run the truck down to almost fumes. Fill tank with 91 or 93 or 95 - highest octane you can...

or

E85 if you are flex fuel and can get it.

I had another member tell me that he couldn't see my pictures either.

He turned off his ad blocker and them he could see them.

Sometimes Postimages links an ad to the end of the ulr of the link to the picture. I always delete it.

Maybe that's why some software blocks the images.
