Nope. Definitely Western Ontario.
Northen Ontario would be Timmins, Cochrane, Hearst regions.

Not so much geographical directions.

This is all based on Toronto being the centre of the universe, or so they think ๐Ÿ˜›

Actually Fort Frances is in the North-West region of Ontario. ๐Ÿ™‚
From Wikipedia: Fort Frances is a town in, and the seat of, Rainy River District in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. The population as of the 2011 census was 7,952.
How can a town that sits on the southern border of Ontario be considered North, any farther south and you would be in International Falls.:R Looks like Pele Island is the Southern most point in Ontario.

I guess what surprised me the most about the area around Toronto was all the tobacco that was grown in the area.

Ontario is one VERY large province and it ranks 5th.

Here's a short list of Provincial Park and Conservations parks that are open for RV camping all winter.

Valens Conservation - Hamilton
McGregor Provincial Park
Algonquin Provincial Park - personal fav(cold!)
Pinery Provincial Park

The campgrounds that are open are limited and usually most do not accept reservations except for Yurts. Other Northern parks have only limited tent and yurt camping such as Killarney, Frontenac.....

Valens Conservation Area camping is closed for the month of December, but it is open for the remaining eleven months.

Fifty Point Conservation area at Grimsby is open until Nov. 30th.
They have full hookups and heated washrooms.
If you want to check on this, give them a call at 905-643-2103 (campground) or Cons. office in Hamilton 905-525-2187.

Milton Heights Campground is open all year in Milton Ontario, right on the 401. Would be an easy 1 hour drive or less to Falls if that is not too far out.

I don't think you will find any open after Oct. 31st. I know the KOA at one time was open later but it looks like they closed a few days ago.
