Has anyone traveled hwy 95 between Yuma and Quartzsite? Curious about the road condition. I see it’s only 2 lanes but is it a decent drive?

Thanks.

Beware if coming thru during "monsoon season", August thru some of September, those dips that a previous poster mentioned can be flooded. Do not proceed, wait until water drains. We will be in our 15 season in Yuma and run RT 95 all the time.

another caveat, just minor but take note: there are a number of low water crossings called "dips". A big motorhome going too fast will bounce you off the ceiling. 🙂

Only caution is to watch out for vehicles passing on your side and the other side of the road. There have been many head-on collisions over the years.

89 miles of good 2 lane nothing between Yuma and Q but a border patrol check point

Well, if you like looking at tanks & big guns, there is a display a short drive down the road to the Yuma Proving Grounds (East Imperial Dam Road). Photos 2017, Photos 2014.

Another stop along the way is the Castle Dome City Ghost Town & Museum, about 60 miles south of Quartzsite. Some photos.

If you like Hwy 50 out of Fallon Nevada east, you'll love 89 out of Yuma. Not much to see, grab a cup of hot coffee and enjoy the trip. Done it several times...Dennis

It's an excellent road. Thousands of RVers travel it between the two towns all winter long.
