This ok or just stay I-5.

Thanks

Seriously, it's probably as good a choice as the other 2 ways my iPad shows, which are all likely to be pretty congested on a Sunday. Timing in So Cal is the key. Get out as early as you can. We're currently in a great park in IB. Took a day trip up to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa to hear one of my favorite authors, Joel C. Rosenberg, Wednesday. Left the CV area using 5 around 11am with minimal traffic. Avoided real freeway congestion between Newport & Costa Mesa around 5pm by taking surface streets. Even the drive back to IB between 9-10:30pm was surprisingly heavy. It's all about timing. If you're staying at Chula Vista RV be sure to check out the nearby restaurant, The Galley, overlooking the marina. And check out Bernardo Shores RV park between IB & Coronado. We consider it one of the best in the state.

We have been trying to contact Bernardo Shores RV park but their phone number goes to a private residence. Almost like someone has call forwarding on the number. Anyone there that can help. We woould like to get in there for february.

Thanks in advance.

We're there right now. I'll let the office know tomorrow.

Actually I-5 doesn't "switch" to the 805. I-5 is the main interstate highway that goes uninterrupted from the US/Mexico boarder to the US/Canadian border. 805 is a state/county/city highway that just gives you another route through the San Diego area.

I would say where ever your destination in Chula Vista is, would be the deciding factor on whether to stay on I-5 or switch over to the 805. Was that your initial question??

Stay on 5 is fine. Sunday morning is fairly easy, go early.

Hummm... You mean the 210, don't you? In any case, both go through the LA basin...lots and lots of traffic. If you really want to do that, taking the 210 off of I5 and go over to I-15 and then south is better than the I-5 all the way down.

If you want to skirt LA you can take 58 out of Bakersfield over to 395 south and then south on I-15.

Good luck
