Considering a part two of my trip in September. Any suggestions for a nice CG for a FW near the ocean? Also any crab shack recommendations would also be nice.

Farther south but Kiptopeke State Park has full hookups It is on the most southern part of the DelMarVa pinninsula. It's a short walk to the beach.

And food-wise, it isn't a crab shack, but some of the best food I've eaten coast to coast has been at Mancini's Brick Oven Pizzeria and Restaurant. I always get a brick oven pizza and my wife always gets some kind of italian pasta dish. It's been absolutely amazing each time we've gone (probably a dozen times now).

There are other decent CGH's in the area . But none are as close to the beach as Assateaque or DE seashore.
Castaway's Massey's Landing, Frontier town. are options that are a short drive to the beach.

Just a guess - you are looking for something withOUT full hookups?

So Delaware - Cape Henlopen State Park or Assateague NP are likely your only options for the Beach, keep in mind that in September A/C is often still needed at the Beach 🙂

If FHU's are needed Delaware state Park at Indian River Inlet will work.

Tight but Very Popular - Meaning reservations needed.

See all three here on map

Commercial the only thing in Rehoboth is Big Oaks - OK - but not the beach and not very Beachie.

Hope this helps,

Our favorite is Delaware Seashore State Park North Campground. It’s a short walk to the beach. Cape Henlopen is also nice. Has more shade, but no sewer hookups. Also a long walk or short drive to beach.
