Roll Call Alaska 2013

Just thought I'd start a thread regarding who will be starting up to Alaska in 2013. It would be nice if we could share information so everyone has a memorable and safe trip.
We will be leaving around the end of May out of Las Vegas. We will be traveling with our 40' MH and towing our Equinox car. We are heading up with my husband's cousin and her husband and they have an airstream.
We have gone before but in 2005 so we are really looking forward again to the adventure. It is surely a trip of a lifetime and to do it more than once is a blessing. We are only on this earth for a short while.

Just to clarify, The SMART caravan leaves from Great Falls, Mt. We live in, and will start our trip, from Warba, Mn.

We are also going to Alaska in 2013 with the SMART caravan. We leave from Great Falls, Mt and end up at Lynden, Wa. We are very excited.

We are in for 2013....leaving in June from Michigan. Driving west to Washington then North. Coming home Alaska Highway. We have 3 months for the trip.

Add another couple to the list for 2013. Plan to leave Dallas early to mid May, swing by Seattle to see a baseball game, then on the ferry to see Juno and other cities. Then make the circle and back down the highway to Baniff and other sights. Why a game in Seattle? We only have two more parks to fill our bucket list of a game in all 30 major league parks. The other is Boston.
I have replaced the engine and transmission in our camper, we now have fuel injection.
Already have milepost, the Church book and lots of information. We were going this year, but a health problem for my wife required monthly doctor visits. She is all better now.
We are excited to see some of the sights that sue t and others have posted such wonderful pictures.

Wow installing a freezer...You must be a dedicated fisherman!
Good idea though. Even a small one would be great for everything, not just fish.

We are planning to depart from our property in Indiana around mid-May and will be back in the lower 48 around the first part of September. We have Installed an Engel freezer in the basement to hold the fish we hope to catch. Will spend the winter dreaming and planning this trip of a lifetime. It is on the top of our bucket list.
