Roll Call Alaska 2013

Just thought I'd start a thread regarding who will be starting up to Alaska in 2013. It would be nice if we could share information so everyone has a memorable and safe trip.
We will be leaving around the end of May out of Las Vegas. We will be traveling with our 40' MH and towing our Equinox car. We are heading up with my husband's cousin and her husband and they have an airstream.
We have gone before but in 2005 so we are really looking forward again to the adventure. It is surely a trip of a lifetime and to do it more than once is a blessing. We are only on this earth for a short while.

Pleas add CosninoCanines 27 days and a wake-up to launch day. Traveling from Flagstaff, Arizona. Our first rip up the interior we have been on an Inside Passage cruise this will be in our 24 foot fifth wheel 2 fools and a cat named Sebastian.

This is a very interesting. Please keep posting fuel prices as you drive thru Canada and Alaska. It's amazing to see the price spread between locations. Hopefully others will do this also.

Note to self: Avoid purchasing diesel along the Columbia Ice Field Parkway. ($1.599 x 3.8 = $6.07 a gallon)

We are currently in Port Edward- Kinnikinnick Campground. We toured the cannery and other places around Prince Rupert. We will be on the Alaska Ferry on May 18. We have a sign in the trailer window.

Moving from Seattle area to Eagle River AK for a couple years............end of the week!
Driving up to Prince Rupert BC and taking the ferry to Haines.
Trying to make a mini vacation out of the trip up there.
Should be much nicer than the first drive a month ago.

Cancelled trip for this year. My wife has Lyme and our barn burned to the ground taking 2 tractors and equipment with it. Planning next year in Sept. Want to go when it's quiet, dont need all the camgrounds, just a dum here and there.

FYI For our Canadian purchases we will use the PenFed Cash Rewards Vista card because:
1. No foreign transaction fees
2. 5% cash back on fuel purchases

I applied by phone and had the cards in 2 weeks.

For US purchases we also have Amex alternatives for fuel cash back.
