I'll be heading from San Diego to Las Vegas in a couple of days and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend RV friendly gas stations along the way, I'll be traveling on the 15/215.
Thanks Bill

Retired out of Temecula. Currently building in Murrieta. Spent a lot of time at the now defunct Bernardo Shores near Coronado. Family in Apple Valley. Very familiar with the area. Here's what we do for RV gas in those parts. Leaving SD, stay on 15 when going thru Temecula. The gas station at the Costco in Lake Elsinore is generally nowhere near as crowded as most. That should get you at least to the Lynwood area near Barstow. I'm sure there's still freeway construction around the Devore/Cajon Pass area. That route would have minimized it last month when I was thru there. If you don't belong to Costco or prefer to take 215 out of Temecula, there's a station that should be RV friendly (though I have never used it) at the Ethanac off ramp between Menifee & Perris. Easy on & off. There's a Sam's Club with gas in Murrieta just off the the 215 at the Murrieta Hot Springs Road offramp, but lately it has just been incredibly crowded. There's also a truck stop place on the 15 very close to where 395 peals off just over Cajon. Never used it though. And, if you belong to Costco & need gas shortly after leaving SD, the store in Escondido has gas, but can get crowded. Unlike many Costco's, there's a lot of room at the station though.

Get a "Next Exit" book.
It shows all the major hiways, and all the exits with facilities, and even more. It does take a bit of figuring when driving north to south, but is easy to just use from bottom to top.

RV friendly gas stations??? It's getting more and more of a challenge to find gas stations that are friendly toward my LB truck!

Get a Next Exit guide, it tells you what is off every exit on major highways for the entire US. Available on Amazon, we have used it for years.

I would not recommend full water tanks unless you plan to dry camp in LV due to weight. If yopu are going to use an rv park fill there if needed, but water is 8lb/gal to just carry. most fill to 1/4-1/2 tank for travel. Just something to think about.

Most Flying J/Pilot stations have both dump stations and water.
At least all the ones from DC to Tampa have.

Other posts an many RV forums say the same for the rest of the US.
I thought when I retired my Hobby would be RVing.
I was wrong, my Hobby apparently is Finding and stopping leaks.

I always carry a fuel jerry-can just in case I need a few more miles to find something...

Has paid off a couple of times... One time we had to park the trailer on a road side area and drive into town to fuel up the truck... Left the wife with the trailer. She was still there when I got back hehe...

Fill your tanks in Lenwood, just before Barstow. You will have a good choice of RV friendly stations on both sides of the freeway. When Leaving Las Vegas there is an RV friendly station on Blue Diamond, across from the Silverton Casino. If you need fuel before Lenwood there are a few good stations as you approach Victorville.
Happy Trails

Any truck stop. All Flying J's have RV islands and some Pilots. Check for these along your route.
