Shoot.

Well at least I got the B part of the name right! :B

I've also been inside Big Nose Kate's place and quaffed an adult beverage or two.

Just for the record the bar in Tombstone is Big Nose Kate's not Bent Nose Kate's. According to the book "Wyatt Earp, The Life Behind the Legend," by Casey Tefertiller, she was named "Big Nose" not because she had one but because she was always sticking her nose into Doc Holidays personal life.

Here I am enjoying a cool one at Big Nose Kate's last winter.

Yahoo/foods just did an article on the most iconic bars in each state.

This one appears to have not made the list. California or Arizona, depending on which side of the Colorado it is located on.

Some bar in San Francisco for California and Bent Nose Kate's in Tombstone for Arizona.

At the least, my state (South Dakota) has the most iconic bar about five minutes from my house. And I've never been there. :B

Mind you, they say famous local resident Tom Brokaw of NBC news fame (from Yankton area) quaffed a few brews there.

And Brian Williams claims to have been there also.

Better food and scenery at the Wayside Inn, and you can actually get cheese on your burger. Out by Alamo Lake, Az.and only on generator power, has the best green chile burger I've ever had in the middle of nowhere. Haven't been in a couple of years, hope it's still open. Desert Bar closes when it's summertime, but I think Wayside stays open because of Alamo Lake.
