Nope no bug bites, Just FROSTBITE!!!

Which raises the question, what type of creature give you frostbite & what do you use to kill it or at least keep it away?

I'm thinking maybe a heat gun.

Some people swear by antifreeze in the blood stream such a Jack Daniels or Crown Royal. I would not know.:W

I'm so excited I can't decide between Fairbanks and Carhart with Sorrels and Tommy Bahama and flip flops.

Oh to be at Chena Hot Springs watching the AB or Kona and watching the tourists all covered in oil.

And yes I love them both and this very civilized thread.

Of course, we Florida people know that !!!! But what we need to know is how much ice do you get and bring home when you go "Ice fishing?" How do you cook it? Does it taste like chicken? :B:B:B

The Ice is very good in a tall glass, but be sure to remove the "Ice Worms" before consuming!;)

'6 ft of snow' where exactly? It makes a big difference whether they are talking about Anchorage, Fairbanks, or the high peaks of the Brooks Range. I don't see anything unusual in the NOAA forecasts for Alaska.

This weekend's snow in Fairbanks area was earlier than average (Oct 10) but not unusual. Still some question of whether it will stick.

I enjoy the cold climate and all aspects of it: Pre-heating the PA-12, plowing snow, ice fishing, Mt. McKinley being a brilliant crystal white, the snap of trees in the deep cold, the yip of the coyotes and the howl of the wolves, sno-going, and all that....but, but, but, the most magical moment of winter is when the 2 year old granddaughter was sitting in my lap just as excited as could be last year saying "Snow, boppa, snow!"

Looks like I am going to get home before it flies. I am in Burns Lake, BC, for tonight...last night of a two month wander. Saw some cool countryside...Montana and Wyoming..and so much else. Anyway...get home, maybe go to Stewert or Rupert for Thanksgiving. Start planning the next trip.

Let the snow arriveth.....
