Where are we?

It is January. For most of us there will be near on 100 days before we have wheels spinning again.

Here is a game that Bermuda visitors would play with their pics of trips to Bermuda.

Post a pic. One at a time to avoid confusion.

Whoever identifies posts the next or defers to somebody else.

If it is not identified in a 24hr (soak), either the poster identifies or somebody posts another.

Try to make subjects fairly well known places.

My idea, so I get to start.

The first one is real easy.

Well now, surprised to see this one come alive again. Busskipper, the owners of our ride stayed for regatta week. He got to crew on the Georgetown boat.

Meanwhile we have made it to the west coast. Not much time for the pics, besides collecting more for next winter. Presently in Newport, OR for a few days then continuing towards the Columbia gorge for later next week.

Man, beautiful!!! I WISH I knew where that was!

Tou are not alone in your wish. That is Mt. Rundle, Banff national Park. Oicture taken fronm the overlook on the TCH just west of the junction with 1A (Bow Valley Parkway.

I was a seasonal Park Warden way back - when they were just building the TCH to (Then) Eisenhower Junction. The Parkway then was THE highway and was part of my District! Sweet memories!

Where we are. The Exumas, Bahamas. Well off the beaten track. No cruise ships for many miles.

Our Ride

Last time I was there we went to the:

REGATTA TIME! Every year since 1954, Exuma has held an "Out Island Regatta" to celebrate the Bahamian working sailing craft. One of the main objectives of the Regatta is to preserve Bahamian boat building skills. As such, the racing rules state that each vessel must be Bahamian designed, built, owned, and sailed.
The event is generally held at the end of April, and the festivities become a week-long celebration.

Boy did we PARTY -- Great Island -- Beautiful WATER.

garmp1, I say that your picture is of the grits mill at Dunn's Falls, Meridian, MS.

You also need to re-size it to 640 wide.
