Bend, Oregon, Campground Recommendations?

Hi everyone, we are heading to Crater Lake, Oregon, next weekend and will be staying at Collier Memorial State Park. However, DW managed to get an extra day off, and so now it appears that we will be able to stay 1 night in Bend, OR, this coming Friday. We already checked Tumalo State Park and they are booked solid for that night. Does anyone have any recommendations on campgrounds that are in, or very close, to Bend for a brief overnight stay? Thanks in advance!

Several mentioned La Pine, not sure if they were referring to Cascade Meadows . The Bend-Sunriver Thousand Trails could also be an option, although usually booked. Worst case is Wal-Mart as I always see several RVs there.
Also, Hwy 97 between Bend and La Pine has construction. Traffic (especially afternoons) is usually backed up for several miles heading south out of Bend due to lane reductions and the construction zone.

On this trip we stayed two nights at Scandia and on the trip home are staying two more nights. As posted before, it may be a tad tight to some but is a nice, comfy park... We will be back there Tuesday and Wednesday nights...

The Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in Redmond is very nice and reasonably priced.

Did an overnight at Scandia and the sites were tight but all hookups were good.

When going thru the area next time I would try and make a reservation in advance up at Sisters.

Bend only has two private RV Parks, Crown Villa Resort (I think they call it that so they can get more money) and Scandia RV park which is still around $55.00 a night.

You can always stay at Wal-mart

Stop at sisters garden. Its only about 20 miles west of Bend, decent park.

Oops! I just checked their reservations, and they are booked, too. There are some RV parks right in Bend. Perhaps one of them would have something.
