Bucket list for the SE United States

We see a lot of info and bucket lists for the Western US but not so for the eastern half of the country. I thought it would be interesting to start bucket lists for those areas. So lets start with the Southeast. I'll start off:

in no particular order:

1) Smokey Mountains NP--TN/NC
2) Orlando FL theme parks-Disney ect
3) Mammoth Caves NP--KY
4) Everglades NP--FL
5) Blue Ridge Trail--NC/VA
6) Natchez Trace--MS
7) Cape Hatteras--NC/VA
😎 Shenandoah NP--VA
9)
10)

And I run out right there. There are whole states unrepresented. What am I missing?

While in Florida check out the Ocala National forest specifically Juniper springs or Alexander springs. You can get more info about these on the web. They are not far from Orlando.

When did they move Shiloh Battlefield 200 miles east to Chattanooga? Last time I was at Shiloh a couple of years ago it was 1/2 way across the state of TN from Chattanooga. Shiloh is about 100 miles east of Memphis and just north of Cornith MS.
Chickamauga and Look Out Mountain battlefields are near Chattanooga.

Yep, I erringly stated the WRONG park. I was at Shiloh a couple of weeks ago and the name stuck when I should have said Chicamaugua. But I'm glad there are experts who are ready to jump on anyone who makes an honest mistake. You're a big help. :C

I had it down as Cape Hatteras, but Outer Banks is probably a better description.

Glad to hear you,re coming our way. Percy Quinn SP near McComb, Ms. and also near the Dinner Bell Rest. Excellent Southern food served on a lazy suzan and all you can eat. Best sweet tea on the planet. New Orleans, Bayou Segnette SP only 10 miles or so from the Quarter. WWII museum a must, especially the movie. Like to fish? Grand Isle SP about 1.5 hrs south of Nahlens. Don't like to fish, not worth the trip. Going in summer, make reservations well in advance and go to Geaux Pass.com to pay bridge toll in advance. The food alone in this area is worth the drive. Bon Appetite'!
