Come out to Dandridge. Look up Anchor Down RV park. The Ridge is another top end CG closer to Pigeon Forge.

The University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville has the McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture that we really enjoyed touring. They also have a beautiful botanical garden. The Museum of Appalachia in Clinton isn't far from Knoxville, as is the American Museum of Science and Energy in nearby Oak Ridge. We stay at the Escapee's Raccoon Valley RV Park near Heiskell when we're in that area, but I don't know if they'e accepting non-members during the current crisis.

Our WV trip got canceled by their Governor so looking for somewhere to start. Have visited Pigeon Forge at River Bend. But need to go and never set foot in Knoxville

I think there's only one campground near Knoxville, Southlake RV Park. It's a dump and a good half hour from downtown. Unless you have a 'reason' to be in Knoxville, there's not a lot of touristy stuff. There's a zoo but that's about it. Lots of other interesting places in Tennessee, Knoxville not being one of them, IMO...Unless you need to be there head to Seiverville or Nashville, tons of stuff there...Old Hickory is a great park.....Dennis

Short drive to Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area. LOTS of places there. Not so much in Knxville I am familiar with.
