We are planning a trip to Zion NP and Bryce Canyon in late summer or early fall next year. Would like some recommendations on things to see and for campgrounds that will accommodate a 35' 5th wheel.
Thank You!!

I would stay at two different parks. If the park CGs do not work, then each have parks near the gate. Yes, the parks are reasonably close, but not that close - especially if you consider that much that you will want to see in Zion will be closer to the Springfield side.

We stayed at a nice KOA in Panguitch near Bryce. It was a drive to Zion, but you are on a shuttle while in the park.

We stayed at the small Bauer's Ranch RV Park at Glendale, UT. It is nearer to Zion, but at least on the highway toward Bryce Canyon. That was several years ago, but it was fine for us then:

We stayed here while visiting Bryce and Zion. Right outside of Bryce. Great folks in the office and Ruby's is definitely good eats. Also a little hamburger, hot dog restaurant in general area. Would make reservations-pretty popular campground. Lars

X3 we stayed here a month ago. We also enjoyed the dinner/Western Show that is held in the hall across the street from the C.G. Decent food and lots of laughs and the entertainers were OK too.

We just came from there with a 40 foot coach and toad. Rubys in Bryce, excellent campground and you can literally walk into the park from there or take the shuttle which stops at the campground regularly. It was like 35 bucks per night or so, full hookups, big sites irregularly staggered in the pine trees. Beautiful.

In Zion stay in the Zion river resort campground, again right outside the gate, walking distance to everything and again around mid 30's if you stay a week, full hookups.

Happy trails.

We've stayed at Watchman a couple of times and love it. Electric only however, no water or sewer. Water and dump station are available inside the campground. I've seen big 5ers in Watchman.

FYI Watchman CG has a max (combined) length of 50 ft, South and Lava Point are smaller.

My -guess- is you will end up in one of the commercial, outside the park, campgrounds.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

I stayed at KOA about half way between them and used the toad to visit parks.
