Camping near utica NY

I'm looking for decent RV sites for my family & I, no more than 2 hours (or 100 miles) from utica, NY. I like to have W&E but could do without water if need be. I prefer more private type area sites, with woods or more than one or two trees near the campsite. I definitely prefer parks that are quiet at night!! That's a must!! Parks I have stayed at were Old Forge Camping Resort, which I liked, & 1000 Islands Campground in Alex Bay, which was okay, not really "private", but it was decent. I have a 31 ft. Class A. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sampson is a bit farther from Utica than you would like,but is an excellent State Park to experience the Finger Lakes from. It is only 30 minutes from Ithaca,NY home of Cornell University. Ithaca and Cornell are worth a day of time if in the area.

If you can stretch it to 3 hours there's North Pole Resort (100 Acre Woods side) in Wilmington outside of Lake Placid.

Verona Beach SP is very nice, rates very nice,http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/new-york/verona-beach

It is although NOT on Onondaga Lake, it is on the Eastern end of Oneida Lake, near Sylvan Beach.
