Might be looking for a new winter playground. After two years in RGV this weather may drive me back to Arizona where we spent ten years prior. Found a park called Casa Grande Resort in Casa Grande Az. with good reviews online. Anyone have any information on this park.

There ain't no "free" breakfast.

O.K.

Waffles, coffee, and juice every weekday morning. I guess this must be brunch. I'm bad......

And just when will Cal-Am build a new ball room for the three combined resorts called Val Vista Villages (Fiesta, Ranchos and Val Vista) that is big enough for the number sites? I would note that being older resorts the sites are not the big also.

I will stick with Canyon Vistas in Gold Canyon, much newer resort with larger lots. Out just enough to enjoy some dessert but close enough for all the activities that Barbara talks about.

As far as activities inside a resort, it is hard to beat what Cal-Am offers at its resorts. Chris

Did you happen to see the new fitness center, the new woodworking shop, the expanded fiber arts center, the expanded courtyard at the Visitors center, etc. They have really done a lot of work this past year.

Not sure where you were parked, but before we got the park model, we had our MH in one of the sites in Val Vista area that was as large as the one we had when we stayed at Gold Canyon and also about the same size as our lot when we stayed in Mesa Spirit. The sites (especially the pull throughs) in the Fiesta area are slightly smaller, but we have a 40+ MH next to us right now with no problems.

We're at Val Vista. Yes, rates have gone up some in the past 3-4 years. Best rate is for 3+ months.

At Casa Grande as we speak. Nice park, great heated pools (2), dog runs are huge (acres and acres), sites are crushed rock with a cement patio, good space side to side and front to rear, mail service is great, Wi-Fi is great at early morning hours and very late at night hours otherwise slow due to many users, pool bath houses are bigger for taking showers, free breakfast every morning, tons of daily activities, (exercise class, water volleyball, live entertainment weekly, ice cream socials, movies, and much more.

Park is close to shopping and unlimited restaurants, movies. Staff busy, but friendly. About 350 sites here. Palms RV park has 2000 sites and very busy with traffic.

Enjoy.

With little doubt, I believe Palm Creek RV & Golf resort is the best in Casa Grande. Most other residents hear during the Winter season rate it the best in the nation. I have yet to find anything anywhere else the equivalent.

From everything we have heard and saw when we toured this park, it is a bit like being back in the military! Very regimented and ran with an iron fist, in a true top down approach. There is a true divide between RV's and Park Model owners. Chris

it is possible we have 4000 people here in Palm Creek.

We have a 2001 alpenlite and never had any comment on it's age. BUT the new owners have decided to let the doge control the park and folks are very pissed that bought park models in the non pet area but now have dogs next door. It was a business decision and parks are a business. So now the problem is the pet owners are the real problem.

People think they dogs can rule their and our lives now.

Might be the end of our stay after next season anyway. The Casa Grande rv resort is very nice as was the question.

We'll be at Casa Grande Resort in a couple weeks. I go to SpeedCo nearby for annual service then spend a couple days there. Nice clean campground with lots of activities. If you like Pickle Ball, you'll have to wait in line as the courts are full every night.....Dennis

I stay at Fiesta Grande in Casa Grande. The park the OP talks about s further from shopping etc. Fiesta Grande is in walking distance of drugstores, groceries Walmart and restaurants. Tons of activities so that if you are bored it is your fault. I would suggest going t one for a month and exploring the others.
As for Palm Creek the will turn away a rig older than ten years.
