Seriously we enjoy state parks in most states.

Favorite state park is Geneva in Ohio. Has everything I need - bike trail, boat launch, beach.

Living in the Rocky Mountain west, I'm a fan of National Forest campgrounds. Been using them since the 60's. Second is National Parks. I've never stayed in an actual RV park. Most of them are too tightly packed, often in open fields with no sign of shade.

I'd have trouble picking a favorite. Always loved Holland Lake (in the Swan Valley, Montana) back in the 60's, but haven't been there in at least 35 years. Used to be a great place called Blackfoot Canyon CG, also in Montana, but I understand that it was closed some time back, in part due to spring flooding.

We have been to a lot of nice camp grounds but I hope we haven't found the best one yet, we are still looking.

Our local Virginia favorite camp grounds are Westmoreland State Park, Skyline Drive LOFT MTN, and Sherando Lake Recreation Area...

We also love to go to ELKMONT Camp in the Smoky Mtns near Gatlinburg TN when we get the urge to spend 6 or so hours on the road...

Most of the time we stay within a couple hundreds miles of Northern Neck Virginia...

All of the State Parks in Indiana are our favorite campgrounds. Each one is great, and unique in it's own way and offers different attractions than others. It's hard to put one above the other. They are all great!
