Favorite Camping Location

I know this topic has been hashed around before but where is your #1 favorite place to camp?

Mine is Acadia National Park in Maine. It has all our favorite things to do all in 1 location. Ocean, Lakes, Mountains, Tourist trap areas, Lobster, all in one location. It also has the 100% free to use LL Bean shuttle service throughout the area. The area is also very dog friendly.

We stay outside of Bar Harbor proper at Hadley's Point Campground. It is a private family owned and operated campground with decent sized sites and amenities.

Where do you like to go.

We have so many favorites, there is neither time nor space to list them all.

We too are always searching out new RV Parks and hope to add lots more favorites to the list.

Our favorite is Ecola SP Oregon which is a day use park but we were volunteers in one of the two sites for volunteers. Besides a site overlooking the ocean with elk munching DW's flowers, there's Haystack Rock, and the town of Cannon Beach, which has retained it's charm.

I have found 2 very special secluded spectacular CG's in my travels......but if I posted it here on a public forum read by millions of campers, it wouldn't be special anymore!:B

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Same here, we've only had our tt for 2 seasons but have enjoyed all the locations.

Op, have you been to Mount Desert Campground on the Somes Sound?
DD and DSIL tent camped there last summer and said it was Heaven on earth!Unfortunately for us, our trailer is too long for them. Max is 20 feet I believe.

X-2,there are several places I really, really like, Acadia is one of them, but as K Charles said, I hope we haven't found it yet, as when we do, we may stop looking, I hope that never happens.

I have a thing for Crater of the Diamond SP. I'm not much for digging holes in a field but something about that campground makes me want to back as much as possible.

We like the Saco River Campground in North Conway NH.

Great mountains, fresh air, tubing in mountain streams, good restaurants, cheap booze and no sales tax.

During the summer, on a sunny day, the weather is as close to perfect as you can get.

If only the approach roads from the north headed to North Conway were in better shape. I swore last year would be our last visit due to the terrible road conditions. Rough, narrow and no shoulders. My memory is short however as I was just looking at available dates to go again in July!

Bar Harbor Maine rates pretty high for us as well. We like Timberland Acres RV park in Trenton ME. The pull through sites are so big another rig could park behind us and we would not feel crowded.

When we were campers (we're now rv'ers) our favorite was Twin Lakes at Mammoth, CA.

Our is probably Wenatchee Confluence state park.
It's a nice green CG with huge sites in the middle of the desert but the nearby towns have plenty of great restaurants and things to do.
Going to that side of the mountains is completely different from camping anywhere else and you feel like your farther from home than you really are.
