Gatlinburg-Pigon Forge Tn Campgrounds

What campgrounds offer EASY pull-thru 50 amp sites are easy to get too? Thinking of a mid-June trip.

It's not really long enough, but it does give you some "wiggle room" to turn around and then back in.

Look up Cosby area campgrounds. Some nice ones out of the craziness but not too far away to go into town easily. It all depends on what you want. Staying in town lets you take the trolley to most places, cheap and easy way to get around. There are ALOT of choices available. Biggest problem is availability at certain times of the year.

We have stayed mostly in Pigeon Forge area. Several nice and some not so nice campground in ad around Pigeon forge. I have never stayed at a campground in Gatlinburg, only hotels. BUT they have several up that way too.

I'm so glad this question was asked. We're trying to decide where to go for July 4th and we considered Gt/PF area but had no idea where to stay. I googled mapped it and it is quite a hike for us - almost 9 hours.

Pine Mountain for us as well. In PF so getting around is much easier. While RV plantation looks nice the location is terrible IF you want to go into PF and Gatlinburg. You'll spend way too much time in traffic.

I will 3rd Pine Mountain RV park. Will be there for 11 days in a couple of weeks. :B

I will agree that RP is a very nice place, but it is so far out (still in Sevierville) and if you want to get into PF, but especially Gatlinburg, the traffic is horrendous on the weekends, during the summer and especially holidays.

I'll 2nd the Pine Mountain suggestion. It's our favorite RV'ing place there and we have stayed in many of them.

Riverside RV Resort X2..We stayed there for a week for the Old Fella Animal Rescue Get together. Easy to get to off I-40 east Knoxville at the Seiverville Exit. All of us that gathered for the Rally have reserved for next year already only for 2 weeks. Good Luck and Happy Camping
