We have never been tnere. May go in 4 weeks. What can you tell us about this place. Is there a nice campground? Are reservations needed? What else is in the area? Thanks for any info..........

We stayed there over a year ago. The sites are tight, on the hill. The easier accessed ones and better pads etc were gone. I had to guide wife and she still nearly took out two bay doors. Gave up and went to office. We stayed on the lower side near the river. It was off season and the only ones there until a young lady pulled in, in a class new class C. Water was terrible and we got permission to run the lines until it cleared up next to us. Lots of pressure.

I was there for the MX races for the last 6 years but have never done the tours ..... will have to check them out next year.

We stayed there several years ago with our club and enjoyed it. Be sure to allow a day, or at least half of a day, to tour her museum. We also toured the mock coal mine and a replica of the home she grew up in.
There is also a nice little winery in the real Minnie Pearl's town but I have forgotten the name of it...

OH .... there is a lottery for the racers for hook ups so unless you qualified you will not get one.

I have gone the last 6 years. Its a great vacation if you are into Motocross. The place is packed with about a 1000 camps. Come in late and expect to camp way in the back

You can show up and camp at the Am national. Last year was my 1st time camping and I arrived on Wed before everyone starts coming in and got a prime spot by the creek. I was vending and camping and was next to where camping starts.

The next week is the ATV national championships.

yeh, I was gonna say you probably ought to like dirt bikes and atvs, as Loretta Lynn's is their mecca.

Unless the area gets some rain, it is going to be a big dustbowl in 4 weeks like it is now, like everything else in Middle TN.

There is a big motocross July 29-8/4. I'm sure it's already booked for that time frame, as well as for other events. Outside those dates you won't likely need a reservation.

We have stayed at Loretta Lynn's campbround several time. The sites are nice, shady. There are several shops down by the river. Tours of her home, a replica of her birthplace cabin, souviner shops, etc. Oh yes, all the sites are 50 amp only. You will need a dogbone or they will rent you one at the office. Have a great time and enjoy!!!

We stayed there about three years ago. The campground sits up on a hill in the trees and is very nice with concrete pads to park on. We did not have a reservation but there were several sites available. Much of the movie Coal Miners Daughter was filmed nearby. We took the tour and enjoyed it very much. I would go back if I was passing thru the area.
