Leaving for Myrtle Beach What to do there?

We will be leaving FOR Myrtle Beach this coming weekend. We have been there many times staying at Willowtree. I'm just looking for something different to do on this trip.

We are senior citizens and I am disabled due to strokes and heart issues so no parasailing (although I did do that about 6 years ago) zip lines go carts or water slides.

Following the above criteria what things should we consider to do or see? What show if any?

Thanks!

Take a day trip down to Georgetown SC. It's a cool little town with a decent waterfront on the river.

We stayed at Willow Tree and at Huntington Beach State Park. Huntington Beach is a nice campground and you can walk to and tour Atalaya, the former home of the owners of the property. The park has great nature programs and a nature lodge. They have a nice beach which is a short walk from the campground. Brookgreen Gardens is next to the park. Murrel's Inlet has some nice restaurants. We liked Drunken Jacks.

Go to the Legends show. We always have enjoyed the impersonators who do a fantastic job. From Elvis to Dolly to Roy Orbison and Tina Turner its a nice show.

You might want to head down to Murrells Inlet and tour Brookgreen Gardens. During the day you can view the outdoor sculpture gardens and during the summer you can go back after dark to an amazing light display. They also have several programs about low country and Gullah history.

Excellent idea. Take the opportunity to visit Huntington Beach State Park which is directly across the street (entrance a bit further back towards Murrels Inlet). Great state park, good beach, great sites, good walking trails.

If you want a fun night or afternoon (and your heart can take it) check out Medievel Times. Obviously staged fights but a good time, some think itโ€™s pricey but deals can be had. If you go, take some plastic eating utensils as they serve the dinner in period manner.

Personally (and Iโ€™m from SC) the area south of MB is the place to stay, and only go to MB on a have to basis.

No matter what you do, have a good time.

Do a Google search for `Myrtle Beach tourism' and read what the specialists recommend.

We always enjoy spending a couple of hours sauntering Barefoot Landing, checking out some of the shops and just sitting/people watching. Looking for turtles and fish while there is also something to do.
