We are currently at Gulf SP in Gulf Shores, Al. a huge favorite with people. Because every site is full hook-up, paved, large and level. All the amenities of a private resort RV park. Long term is allowed with monthly rates. Problem is getting in. You would need to start working on reservations now.

MS, AL are good choices. You'll have a great time but it will be colder than AZ. Dec & Jan might be hard to take.

Take US 90 and visit Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian and Bay St. Louis. Beaches around here are open - no mass building of condos - fishing piers, pull offs with free parking with plenty of room for a motorhome - explore and find what you like. There is also the Gulf Island National Seashore area around Ocean Springs with nice camping.

Just beware of the one where the train runs 2 feet from the CG! :B

On your list include Hollywood R V Park
(and casino) in Bay St Louis MS. Beautiful
place, big trees well spaced sites. You
can get a gambler's card (no gambling required)
and get reduced meal prices. When you leave,
drive U S 90 along the coast to Biloxi, and
see the vacant lots left by Katrina, where
there had been beautiful homes.
At Biloxi you can take I 110 back to I 10
to continue east.

Also consider Gulf Shores AL......MANY
r v parks.........great area

I've been spending a couple months each Winter at Buccaneer State Park in Waveland, MS for the last couple years. I plan on doing the same next year.

$480/mo FHU. Short walk to the ocean front. A little farther to the beach. Lots of restaurants and a casino (with a great buffet) nearby. Thanks to hurricanes everything is new. Not the most exciting place in the world but a nice spot to hang out for awhile.

PM me if you have any specific questions.
