New York City choices?

We were thinking Newburg KOA, but the reviews indicate lots of poison ivy & I am allergic. We want 50 amp fhu. Black Bear was our second choice, but reviews are less than stellar. We are looking for a tour bus from the park. We also considered Liberty Harbor, but reviews are poor except for location. Help!

Croton on the Hudson. County park with full hookups.

Liberty Harbor is a parking lot with electric and water and a dump station. Given that, it is 10 minutes on the ferry to Manhattan Island as opposed to maybe an hour on the train. You have a view of the skyline right from the campground and the Statue of Liberty is right nearby. It's not perfect but I'd call it the best for visiting NYC.

If your goal is to tour NYC liberty harbor is fine. But I don't think its FHU. There is water and electric. With a dump station.
Croton Point Park is a decent county park with FHU sites. It is close to the train station that will take you into NYC

Ran into a fellow in Vermont 2 weeks ago that was staying here to visit NYC.

liberty harbor is fine if your only intention is to visit NYC. Been to worse campgrounds, keep your expectations in check and you will be okay. 🙂
