Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

The last stop on our trip north of Superior was Pancake Bay Provincial Park. Much of the drive was beautiful....can't say the same for the weather. Note: fuel can be scarce in some sections of the route.

Again we were very lucky and had a waterfront site - right on the beach....

Night sky from site

And then all too soon, it was time to head home.....total distance driven 4101kms, 3255 towing trailer. It was our first trip to this part of Ontario...it wont be our last!

Gorgeous photos. We've traveled Western Canada even going to Terry Fox Provincial park. There is a huge marker/plaque there on Terry Fox. I remember when he walked/ran across Canada collecting a penny a mile for cancer, till it took his life. He was an inspiring person.

Thanks everyone - this is our first trailer and this is first trip we took with it - 4101kms in total; and we had an amazing time. Mfinnerty, youre right about the power cord length. I had 75' and still needed a bit more. Fortunately the park has free loaners, just need to provide a security deposit. Shot, thanks for the kind words about Ranger - hes just 9 mos old and has turned out to be a great camper.
The last park we stayed in was Pancake Bay Provincial Park - it was also really nice. I'll try to get some pics up from that campground shortly.

Northtrail, you're doing it right.

I'm also loving the Sheltie. Great looking dog.

It is a neat site but bring a lot of electrical cord to reach the box. We needed about 90' to reach when we were there as the box was in the woods between two sites.

Our next stop on our North of Superior trip was Sleeping Giant Provincial Park (Marie Louise Lake CG) about a 640 km drive NW through some rugged and beautiful low mountains.

We had another beautiful (and remote) waterfront site.

Deer visited the site every night - certainly amused Ranger (our dog)

Sleeping Giant

Thunder Bay Lookout - inside Sleeping Giant Park.

Ouimet Canyon - just east of the park

The Sea Lion - a beautiful Hike in Sleeping Giant

Not far from the park is the very moving and inspirational Terry Fox Memorial - it's been built very near the spot where he tragically ended his cross-Canada run when his cancer recurred.

Back at our campsite...

We're just back from a three week trip north of Superior. Lake Superior Provincial Park was out first stop....it was incredible:

Hike to Native pictographs - were drawn 150-400 years ago on sheer rock face overlooking lake. Only viewable when Superior is calm.

From a couple of weeks ago, site 292 at Watkins Glen State Park (in Watkins Glen, NY). I didn't wander around all the hundreds of campsites, but at least among the couple of loops that I did peek around I didn't find any sites that I thought were clearly nicer than this site for my motorhome and preferences. There were a few that seemed about equal.

(For what it's worth, I'm two feet over the claimed maximum length for the site. I guess the maximum is rather conservative!)
