Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

This is site #1 at Blue Heron CG in Big South Fork NRRA Also known as the "bear" site. Several bears have been spotted in past years near this site. Click here for more Big South Fork Pics.

We had all this area to the side of the site for the kids to play and to walk the dogs. This is why we always get this site when possible.

Saw a recent pic of the same area. Our spot is now better suited for a houseboat. It is underwater by a foot or two.

We have way too many pics to post here, so I'll just leave a link to our gallery: click here

For each of the trips, I do my best to take pics of everything I can think of...site, amenities, etc.

Hope this helps. ๐Ÿ™‚

I read this topic last night for the first time and IT'S GREAT!!! Reading camping reviews is nice, but seeing pictures of actual sites is awsome! Thank you for starting it!

We took a vacation Sept. 2001 with our first camper, and I took a picture of each site we were at. I, for some reason, have only taken a couple of pictures of our since after 2001. Believe me, that is going to change!

I'm going to post all that I have, and I'm very new at this, so be patient with me.

These were at Rustic Acres Campground in Clarion, PA. I don't remember the site #, but they were taken Sept. 2001.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know where this one is!!!!! It's about 25 mins form my front door. I have actually never been in it, but I do know where it is!

Yeah....I noticed that too....

Me three.. LOL But I thought maybe it was an optical illusion? :h

Yeah, in those long shots of the campsite...the PUP does look off level for sure. But it WAS level...we were able to run our refrig. and heater fine. Look at this close up of myself in front of the PUP..you can see it is level:

All the ground around the entire campsite was very un-level so I think where I was standing when I took those long shot photos was VERY un-level and made me take it lop-sided. LOL
HAPPY CAMPING!!

Nice pics! Where in IL is this Thompson Causeway place located exactly? We might have to add it to our list.. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's in Thomson, IL, right on the Mississippi River. Thomson is on Route 84 and is about 30 to 35 miles north of I80. The sites are 50amp, no water or sewer, but they do have spiggots to fill up and a dump station. It has a playground and a boat ramp. Good day trips would be Galena, IL and the Quad Cities. They do have reservable sites on Reserve America. We enjoy watching the barges going up & down the river, and the egrets & hurons. The cg is surrounded by water, so you can see the back water or the river from any site.

It's full Labor Day weekend, so we made reservations for Fisherman's Landing. It is also a COE park and is on Route 84 about 3/4 mile south of I80. Have never been there yet, so we'll see how it compares to Thomson.

Thanks for the info! Is there a website? I will definitely look into it.. sounds really nice! ๐Ÿ™‚
