Question about Bryce Canyon campgrounds

I have been looking at campgrounds in Bryce Canyon, but can't tell by the pictures if our motorhome and trailer (65')would fit into some of the sites and if we could get around the access roads.

I am hoping you fellow RVers can help me out and give me some advice on this.

Would our combined length fit into Bryce North Campground and/or Sunset Campground? It looks like Ruby's Campground just outside the entrance would accommodate 65' rigs, but we would rather stay inside the park.

4runnerguy....thanks for the explanation as to whey the parks were so busy last week. I'm hoping that we won't have any problem getting a site this late in the year.
I will check out the sites in North CG first as I would prefer to be in the park.

Some of the sites in loop A at North are quite large (more than the 45' listed). If you aren't arriving on a weekend, you might have a chance to snag one of the larger ones.

As for it being busy last weekend, all of the parks in Utah were. Last weekend was the Utah Teachers Convention so the school districts all had at least Thursday and Friday off. Some also gave the kids Wednesday off. So families had a four or five day weekend. We've learned not to head to Utah on that weekend - it's a zoo everywhere. Next week shouldn't be nearly as busy.

Thank-you everyone for the helpful replies and adjoining links...It looks like all the sites in the park are first come, first serve this time of year.
It sounds like Ruby's would be the easiest CG to fit into, but I may just unload the toad and check out the loops inside the park first.

I was kind of surprised when RCMAN46 mentioned that the park is still really busy this time of year. I'm hoping that it will be a little less crowded in another week.

North Campground is best for big rigs but only a small percentage are reservable. Our 40' MH fit in some but not many. Here's a link:

We liked Bryce Canyon Pines -- not far from the park, full hookups, very quiet. Some folks have had electrical problems there -- we did not. Ruby's looked pretty busy. If you have the time, consider spending a few days at Kodachrome State Park. They also have hookups, and there are some big rig sites. Great hiking in the whole area, great dirt roads to explore. Just not in wet weather -- the roads turn to sludge in the rain.

We were at Bryce a couple days ago October 16.

No trailer just a car.

I agree if you visit in the summer months the shuttle bus would be a must.

Late October is the off season and the shuttle bus was not running. There were several places we had to circle the lot several times before we could find a parking spot.

I remember commenting to my wife I would not like to try this park in August or September.

At the visitor center there was standing room only.

It has become a very popular park.

We just spent a week at Ruby's..........lots of room in the back section for bit rigs. But it is pretty much a barren parking lot.

I just Googled Information on Bryce Campgrounds and North Campground and Sunset Campground appeared on the list. If you click on North Campground, then click on the Reserve America link, then Site List, you'll see that there are at least a couple of pull through sites that are 50' in length. Here's the link. I did the same for Sunset, but the Site List does not list length. Sometimes you have to click on a site, then open it for detailed information and it will list the length. Good luck.

The other thing would be to use Google Maps and enter in the campground name, then using the length measurement on the bottom of the screen, determine the length of RV's you can see in the photo. Problem here would be the trees. Trees may not allow you to accurately see the sites from above. Worth a try though.

I see you're getting mostly responses about Ruby's which will accommodate you easily. I did a Google search for the campgrounds you mentioned but didn't have much luck. I did find this blog showing a photo of a site and looks like it may accommodate you but most likely they unhooked their toad before driving in. I checked this site with campsite photos but they didn't list any of the campgrounds you asked about, but there may be some close by you could stay at.

We stayed at Ruby's last September(2014) and really enjoyed it. The shuttle bus is convenient and you get a running commentary on the way into the park.
There are restaurants and shopping convenient to Ruby's as well.

Ruby's is actually at the entrance to the park, the new sites in the back are huge , the shuttle bus is a must and it picks up at Ruby's

Is a shuttle really needed? During the summer, much of the magic of Bryce Canyon is lost when visitors spend time waiting in lines to enter parking lots, circling parking lots looking for empty spaces, or fighting traffic in congested areas. There is one parking space for every four cars entering the park. Other alternatives considered, such as enlarging parking areas or limiting the number of visitors in the park, have their own negative consequences.
