Recommendations for Moab campground

Hi Folks, were going to be in Moab around October 1st and need recommendations on a good campground as this is our first trip to Moab. The rigs are a 36 ft TT and 34 ft fiver. Full hookups only. TIA.

Any good site/attractions would be nice too although we hear most is closed right now.

We stayed at Spanish Trail RV Park in Moab a few years ago. FHU and mostly pull-thrus and level sites. It is just a couple of miles south of Moab. Please check their website.

X3 Archview. As said it is out of downtown but is convenient to everything that you will want to do.

We really liked Archview and it's location. Out of the hustle bustle of town. A few miles north of Arches NP. At road to Canyonlands and Dead Horse SP. Don't miss any of those. Also, if coming from the east take Hwy 128 a few miles after you get into Utah, or take a drive up 128 if you're coming from a different direction. Awesome drive along the Colorado River(thanks Busskipper).

We filled up with water at Crescent Junction (it's where to turn south off of I 70 when you are heading to Moab). Dead Horse Point is a must see! We got some great photos, both of the canyon... as well as the milky way.

We stayed at Portal RV park. Close to town. They have 2 sections, a normal side and a resort side. We stayed on the resort side. It's gated, has a large pool and hot tub and is very nicely landscaped. The normal side is also pretty nice, but no pool , but they do have a swimming pond.

We stayed in Green River at the KOA, used that as a base for our trip, was a ways out, but a bunch less $$$.

Dead Horse Point is electric only in both campgrounds. No water available at the park - they have to truck in all water, so request that you use as little as possible at the restrooms. While there are a few first come sites, most are reservable, and all are usually full.

We stayed at Archview Campground last year. It is full hook up. About 10 mi. north of Moab. It allowed us to ride dirtbikes and ATV out of campground without plates. That may not be important to you.

It is Deadhorse S.P. Look again and you see a road near the river. Grand Canyon does NOT have a road.

https://www.moabrimcampark.com/rv-sites.htm Is where we stayed last year. I kind of put all of them on the wall and threw darts and hit this one.

It is nothing spectacular. Average sites, very clean, most have plenty of room for toad parking. We ended up with the one of the few that didn't have sewer but I knew that when I made reservations. Sits up on a little hill above the road, traffic noise during the day but no big deal for us. Besides, we were out during the day and the night traffic is light.

The managers are great, he is a kick to BS with with a interesting background.

Hit the Moab Dinner in downtown. Usual hamburgers and stuff with a surprisingly large menu. Decent prices. Also the Moab Brewery on the south end of town. Came recommended but for some reason didn't make it. Moab Grill is another decent place that won't break the bank. Decent steak. Ate their 18 years ago and we had to try it again. Wasn't disappointed.

The Maverick station at the south end of town handy place for fuel. Separate large vehicle pumps and you can go around the station to enter/exit.

Canyonlands NP is nice, Entrance to it is north of Arches 15 (?) miles. Better views than most of Grand Canyon IMO.

Hope that you are going to hit Bryce Canyon. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
