So who's in the class of 2013/14?

I always enjoy seeing who is just starting out, and those that are keeping it going. Hopefully it will be a large class this year and not a dying lifestyle (FWIW, it's a good lifestyle if you're thinking about it.)

For us it will be our 6'th year. Big change is we sold the Class A and picked up a 5'ver which we now store down south. Will drive the SUV down like so many other snowbirds taking just a few days and then staying in one spot for the winter (that we've come to enjoy.) It sure does help make the bank roll thicker I'll say that much.

I can truthfully say that DW and I are already getting hitch itch, and we haven't even packed (plus, we no longer have a hitch to itch:(.) I'm betting that before next snowbird season we'll be mobile RV'ers once again. Just can't seem to shake the need to see what's around the next corner :). As long as we're young in body, mind, and physically capable, why not!

How about you?

We just came back from storing our rig half way to Texas. No big snow storms to worry about in Jan when towing the other 1/2 way there. Our 5th year to the Hill Country. Can't wait for Jan. Mom won't leave any sooner.

Every year about this time I give it more and more thought. One of these years may just take the plunge. Lots of decisions on style and brand of RV to start out with. Store the RV in Fla. or drag it back to Delaware. Decisions decision decisions. :h

This is my 10th year since retirement, 8th snowbirding since my wife stopped working. We did Az the first year, found it a bit dry & dull,& cold in Jan, so we tried going into Mexico the next year and love it down there. We have been going down there ever since, usually to the Manzanillo area, but always taking a few weeks to explore new areas & RV parks.

Not sure we are similar to other Snowbirds, as we can only go south for one month (February) due to business responsibilities. We went to Carrabelle on the FL Panhandle last Feb - beautiful place (Carrabelle Beach RV) and a beautiful area, but it was really chilly and windy. This year, we're going farther south to Fort Pierce - Treasure Coast RV Park, which comes very well recommended. Called for a reservation in June and was wait listed!.....obviously a popular spot. However, we lucked out and got in - Hooray! Travel safely everyone and have fun.

Full time in Florida, class of 2012. Now if I can get rid of the financial need for a job, we can do the reverse snowbird in the summer ๐Ÿ™‚

I'll be joining the Class of 2013/2014 starting this Sunday. Heading for the Bullhead City/Ft.Mohave area of Arizona for my 5th season. Love the sunshine every day, casinos, great Mexican food and great friends. I too took advantage of the troubled times and purchased a park model trailer so travel costs are a little better for me. I'll be staying till about the end of March.

Have fun everyone!!

We are new members of the class of 2014! I'm excited and a little anxious. I am taking an early retirement in December and DH and I will be heading to Ft Myers in January. We store our class A in Florida, and have spent years taking two 2 week vacations per year. Can't wait to be able to spend 3 months doing things we haven't had time to do before.

You can count my wife and i in. We are first timers headed for texas, we were supposed to be there this past sunday but the tow rig decided it wasn't ready and we have to delay for another week while we wait on an upper intake manifold.

This will be our first year as true snowbirds, in the past we would make several trips back home but we purchased a new to us 5th wheel last spring and left it down in AZ. This year our son will come for Xmas instead of us making a trip back and as we only now have to tow a small cargo trailer with our RZR it will make for a much quicker less expensive way of doing things.

Have lived and worked in the beautiful pacific northwest our entire lives. Retired in June 2010 made our first trip to Tucson during the 11/12 season loved it. We met so many wonderful like minded folks it was amazing. After we got home we upgraded our rig to one that is more livable for long durations and went back for the 12/13 season. We are packed up and ready to start our third migration for the 13/14 season. We love mountain biking in the desert and hiking in the mountains of the Tucson area. This year we are leaving a month early as we are scheduled for two weeks at Peurto Panasca in Mexico before heading back to Tucson. Safe travels everyone.

Our 2nd year being south. Someone has to live on the beach in the winter, might as well be us. :C

We are anxious to retire, but need to unload the S&B first. We are hoping to be free by April. Can't wait to do some of the things we have wanted to do for so long!

I will head out to Yuma on the 27th of December for two months. This is my 5th year but almost stopped going after the weather last year in Yuma. My wife does not like Yuma or anywhere else in Arizona, so I batch it by myself.
