We are in Forest Lake RV Park in Zephyrhills. A very nice park and centrally located. There are probably in the neighbourhood of 20 RV parks in and around Zephyrhills. Between Tampa (45 mins.) and Orlanda (about 60 to 75 mins.). And, there are still sites available here to-day!!

There is some good value in CGs in the northern part of the state. Look along Hwy 17, south of Palatka, Fl along the St. Johns river in little towns like Satsuma, Fl re: Half Shell Resort or Welaka. Or maybe along Hwy 40 in the Ocala National Forest around Silver Springs, Fl. And of course Hwy 98 in the panhandle along the gulf coast you'll find favorite wintering spots. RV Park Reviews would be a good source.

Weather won't be much worse than central Fl. Prices will be a little cheaper and traffic will be more manageable. Either way, good luck and enjoy.
