Looking at leaving about April 20th. The plan.....
Ct. To Asheville NC all in one straight shot
Asheville to Pigeon Forge
Pigeon Forge to Chattanooga
Chattanooga to Memphis
Memphis to Nashville
Nashville to Berlin Ohio Amish country
Berlin to Ct in one straight shot

Input on were to stay and things to do. Would you skip any of these? Was only planing on staying two nights at each stop unless we really liked the area and wanted to see/do more.

Would you think reservations would be needed if going in the end of April?

Memphis is a fun city. They have the ducks at the Peabody hotel, all of the best rib joints in America, Sun records, dog racing and just plain site seeing.

We found plenty to see and do around Memphis.

I am still confused why there are so many photos of dogs sitting on furniture and upside down MH's! It must have something to do with TN.

Tennessee has so much to see, it just depends on what you like. Chattanooga has so many interesting things to see, again it depends on what you like. We have so many nice state parks with waterfalls and walking trails and they are open year round. Everyone has their preferences on what they like when they travel. We love the simple stuff...plan you trip on what you want to see and enjoy it.

Wow. First you try to start a fight about destinations and then you make fun of a person's dog? Time for you to take a break from the computer.

Skip Memphis and spend more time in East TN & Nashville. Nothing in Memphis worth driving 8 hours extra for in the time frame you have. (Unless someone is a die-hard Elvis fan & just gotta go to Graceland, which is nothing to get excited about otherwise.)

I would even consider skipping Nashville for more time in Chattanooga & the Smokies.

All depends on what you like to do.

There are really 3 types of things to see/do in those areas---music stuff (Nashville-Memphis); historical stuff (Smokies/Chattanooga/Nashville) outdoor/scenic stuff (east TN).

Really? I was wondering why anyone would want to go there, or Memphis and Chattanooga for that matter.

Really what would you suggest north florida?

Everyone has their own preferences. No need to get a donnybrook going.
