I have a brand new wfco 8725p power converter, never installed. I own a 1989 class a. What can I use the converter for in my motorhome? Anything at all, or should I put the converter on ebay?

Thanks,
DS

I had a coachmen TT until last year. I bought the converter to go with it as a backup, but the old one never died. I put the wfco in the shop and forgot about it.

I found it recently while cleaning and just thought I'd throw the question out there. I have a 1989 mallard sprinter class a in great shape. The converter in it works like a dream.

I was just curious if I could use the wfco to maybe add an extra 110 outlet or a couple of more DC items, a battery bank or some such.

I guess the first question that comes to mind is, do you have a converter installed and is the WFCO is an additional one? If so, I'd keep it for a back up or to charge batteries outside the motorhome.

Sell it.......

And if you need to replace converter get another one...........not a wfco.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Keep it as a spare. At least that way the existing will never fail ๐Ÿ˜‰

If it is brand new, why not send it back to the people you bought it from?

I made a mistake of sorts when I sold the 45 amp converter/charger on my motorhome when I installed a 1500 watt inverter/charger that was three stage. When I go to sell my motorhome, do I leave behind the $750 inverter/charger - or wish I had kept the converter that I sold for $125?

If you installed a inverter/charger, you might consider keeping it in case you want to keep the inverter when the RV is sold. Others consider the RV more valuable with the inverter already installed, so it is a catch 22.
