Good golley! I never realized!

I've been an RV enthusiast all my life. Started when I was 8 years old when my parents purchased their travel trailer in 1963. In my teens, I fell in love with fifth wheels, in my 20 I did my share of tent camping, in my 30's I did my share in the Army, in my 40-50-60's I've been an RV owner myself, and after all these years ... I never realized ....

How much of all my RV's could have so so many part and pieces and "things" from Lippert!

I just discovered their web site, and did a quick compare with my own current camper.... and OMG!

Feel kind of stupid now. A few weeks ago I drug one of the rear Lippert 6 point leveling jacks and lost the foot pad. It did not hurt the jack.

I contacted my dealership and they had one shipped from Lippert. I never put 2 and 2 together! I could have done that myself! Luckly, they didn't charge any extra for doing it for me, and it was shipped directly to my house.

But just a short while ago, I discovered the Lippert web site, and I'm still in shock!

Well, if you can't find "it" there, I don't think it can be found anywhere! Maybe my camper should not be called Keystone, maybe it should really be called "Lippert RV!" In still reeling in shock! I just never put 2 and 2 together!

LOL. It was the Keystone units where I saw the cr-ap LCI frames.

It's just been within the last 4-5 years that Lippert seems to own, and keeps buying, other parts suppliers.

I won't own a rig with an LCI Frame though, that's for sure. I saw some pretty sketchy workmanship and cost cutting measures when I has transporting RVs for two years.

I will never forgot one frame I saw that was two short pieces joined together, in order to "use up" every last bit of material the frame fab shop had on hand.

Lippert has to be the worst company to ever deal with!!! I had the sealed bearing axles on my camper and had issue and Lippert didnโ€™t make repair parts for those axles and offered zero help. I purchased ALKO axles and I hope I never have deal with that company again. THEY WORST COMPANY

I had to deal with ALKO for parts a few years ago. They were great!

Sorry for the confusion. ALKO was great to deal with. LIPPERT was who I was referring to as being the worst company. TERRIBLE

THANKS for that. Didnโ€™t mean degrade ALKO. Great people

And with so many componants on rigs coming from Lippert, I keep their Master Manual as a favorite on my iPad. If you donโ€™t know about it, here is a link to it.....

Thanks RollandB!

I had portions of this, like the 6 point leveling one, but this copy has everything! Nice! Thank-you.

I saved a down-load on my laptop and also bookmarked it. I'll probably bookmark it on my cell phone too. More than likely, if something goes wrong on one of the systems on the camper, it will be when we are away from home on a trip somewhere. The manual may help identify where problems may be coming from and help me trouble shoot on the spot.

Thanks again!

path1, we had the same experience. Lippert frames supplied to Keystone are junk. It seems we also dumped Lippert products and ended up with a Northwoods unit. I was not overjoyed when I realized some of the components were Lippert.

Consolidation. Bigger fish are swallowing the smaller fish. All those parts were produced by many different manufacturers at one time. Due to acquisitions and mergers there are now less companies.

The reason is quite simple - capitalism. Jason Lippert has made it his mission in life to own everything and anything RV related that he can get his hands on. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Its called one source.
Very common in many industries. Lippert has basically bought out the competetion so its the omly soirce for a lot of things.
