I looked at a new 2015 4200D Toyhauler yesterday and was very interested. Does anyone have any opinions about them? Good or Bad. What about tire wear on that tri-axle?

I think that might be universal good advice. Work with a good dealer. We have a Voltage, and lots of people have complaints, but our dealer has been very good to us, starting with the PDI when we bought it. Lot of people that have complaints either haven't given the dealer a chance to do something, or their dealer has dropped the ball. Do your research, and choose a good dealer.

I've had a Cyclone 3950 for about 5 years. Had some issues with it and had to work with the dealer quite a bit to get Heartland to stand behind it, but we dotted i's and crossed t's and they came through and it was all resolved. I think the trick is to find a dealer who is committed to supporting the product they sell. And, if you follow these forums you will find lovers and haters for every brand. Hard luck stories and miraculous stories as well.

Find a good dealer and a floor play you like. Then be prepared to do some maintenance yourself and go enjoy yourself....

Let's see first thing that occurred was the pipe from the kitchen sink was routed next to the bracket that holds the suspension and by my third trip out already had a hole. The proprietary valve that controls where water is routed broke. Underbelly floooooded bad...Inverter, garage radio, tv bracket, front door and compartment hatch gas springs, vacuum switch...No coverage by Heartland...their quality control is non existent...The only thing worst than the QC is the customer service.

I wish you would give your reasons. Was there problems with the 5-et and Heartland would not warranty them?

Using the Advanced Search at the top of the forum and using cyclone and problem I found 220 matches when I used the "Archive - over 1 year ago" selection from Date Posted, then I selected Toy Haulers only from Forum(s).

Not saying all 220 are problems but will give you some things to read. A few of our regular members had some pretty serious problems, I think what made me frustrated was the lack of service they received.

Now that was a few years go, not sure if that was before or after the Thor purchase of Heartland or not. But might be helpful.

Heartland is an extremely difficult company for dealers to deal with (as far as warranty issues). However, that does not matter to the consumer.
Heartland has a very large range of product names and quality levels. Ranging from "as good as it gets" to "better off looking at craigslist".

Cyclone is a very pretty product with a lot of cosmetic detail. A very well thought out garage area, that will transform to about anything. Quality is not all that great --- not terrible either. A big problem we see with Cyclone is minor delam. Lots of cosmetic troubles. Some slideroom troubles. Rear gate has trouble shutting/sealing tight. Not too many tire troubles. Basically "IF" I was looking for a TH. I would likely choose a Cyclone. Even though they are heavy as WELL! And we get lots in for warranty repair. They are still a decent product, with the ability to adapt to just about any situation.

Let's just say I will never buy another Heartland product.

I had a Heartland Cyclone 4100 for about a year before finally upgrading to a Class A pusher. Good build quality on the Heartland and no issues at all with it. We move around so much we just decided that we might as well go to the DP. I thought it was a very well thought out design. Never noticed any issues with the triple-axle setup. If you are looking for a large toy-hauler I'd recommend Heartland and recommend the Cyclone series. Good luck!

Hey! I have a 40 ft sunnybrook toy hauler. As far as the tri axle I found the rear tires scuff so bad when turning it weakens the sidewalks. I went to a light truck tire that seems to help and rotate every year. Good luck.

I would say go for it! Heartland is a reputable manufacturer. It's a big heavy one so make sure your TV is up for supporting that weight on the pin.
