TIRES are an issue! I always check pressure, keep them covered while in storage, on boards. I think the tire dealer should have known he was selling a low rated tire. Not a knowledgeable salesman...

Being tempered glass, if it has even the slightest scratch on it that can lead to it blowing out at any unexpected time. Also, if it was not set into the metal frame properly, as in the frame wasn't square when the glass was inserted, that can also stress the glass and cause it to break.
You can smack the front of a piece of tempered glass with a hammer and it won't break. But if you tap the thin edge it will very easily shatter.

Our new trailer has china bombs on it. We plan to replace them soon. How are new trailers typically transported from manufacture to various dealers around the country? Are they towed individually so the tires when I buy a new trailer already have a few 1000 miles on them (I'm in AZ), or are they flat bedded and towed with a semi?

Replace your tires, I don't know what the shower glass costs, but the possible damage a blown tire can do to your trailer can run 1 or 2 thousand. How would I know that, I waited too long to replace my china bombs!
