I've always had an on and off stink in my trailer but have made excuses, believing that water splashed out of the traps, or something like that. The smell always seemed worse right after dumping so I thought it was somewhat normal. I finally quit making excuses and started looking. It took 5 seconds to spot a problem. Under the bathroom sink, there is a vertical pipe with a check valve after the sink trap. Under the kitchen sink there is the same vertical pipe after the trap, but no valve. If the valve somehow fell off, it would be laying under the back of the sink, but it isn't. It was never installed. A quick trip to Home Depot found a similar valve. I can't even imagine how fresh the trailer will smell without the gray tank venting to the inside of the trailer. Moral of the story is go with your gut and don't make excuses for three years.

I just started another thread dedicated to this topic to send to Eclipse as it sounds like more and more people are dealing with leaking windows on their trailers. List your details here:

Make that three windows now that I have with leaks... Ugh

Had some more HEAVY rain last night and found the other back window on the street side also has a minor leak.

I noticed on a couple of windows they put caulking all the way around (top and sides) but on most only put caulking along the top of the window frame. Can't figure out why...

Man... I just posted on another thread about my windows leaking.

I picked up a used 2013 28ALKG last year and found a bedroom window leaking this past summer. Checked my trailer after this last rain and found 2 more leaking.

The one i fixed this summer was not centered when originally installed. The seal on the top edge of the window didn't make contact with the wall so it just funneled water in the trailer.

I quickly caulked the top of the windows this past weekend but will have to remove and reinstall all the windows to ensure they are sealed properly.

After a couple of outings a few items have cropped up.

1) WIth some HEAVY rain last week I found I had two windows leaking. The very front window and very back window both on the door side. I found that caulking applied to the top of the windows on both had missed a couple of inches allowing water in. I have sealed and problem fixed.

2) Door going from hallway into bathroom is badly warped (from top to bottom)and bows out in the center making it very hard to close. Have to push/pull on it very hard to latch. Kids struggle with it... Will be getting it replaced as it never should have been installed. Other two doors are straight.

3) Downpipe from toilet into black tank appears to be too long and is sitting nearly half way down into the black tank causing backup issues. Will probably fix myself.

Overall still very happy with the purchase and the family really likes the trailer.

I caulked all of my windows and only have two that still leak so I'm going to have to pull them.

2) I was surprised to find the fan on the microwave above the stove it not vented out of the trailer. It just blows back into the trailer. I pulled the cover off of the section of cabinet above the micro to find it was completely empty (WTH!)with no ducting for the fan. Was this an oversight on Eclipse's part? Seems like a total waste of perfectly good storage space if their not going to run a duct out of the trailer which made no sense to me. My wife was cooking some bacon over the weekend and smoked out the entire trailer setting off the smoke alarm. This is how we found out the fan over the stove is not ducted out of the trailer:(

Was there a carbon filter on the vent? They put these filters on the vent to clean the air and recirculate it.

Not from what I could tell. Looked like it was just blowing out of the top of the micro.

Does anyone know exactly what leaf spring pack these trailers use? I broke one and had to leave my trailer behind at the campground so I'd like to easily pick one up if someone had a part number handy.

Email Kathy@eclipsemfg.net She has always provided quick responses to my questions.

Curious how you broke it?

I broke it going too fast over a bumpy road. I called Eclipse and they said they had no idea and referred me to Lippert. I bought a pair of 3k lb springs to install on one axle to get me home and I'll install the same on the other axle when I get it home. All of mine look flat and I bet they used marginally rated springs to begin with.

I will admit there are a few things about the trailer that caught my attention. Curious if anyone else has encountered the same

1) The heater vent in the front bedroom puts out very little air/heat compared to the other two in the main living area and the one in the bathroom. I ended up having to buy some vent covers with built in dampeners that allow me to control airflow to the other vents allowing more air into the front bedroom. Without them we would have essentially froze in the front bedroom while the kids were toasty in the back bunk.

I just picked up a 2015 28SAG w/slide and will be taking it out this weekend for its maiden voyage. Traveling about 400mi round trip. I have been all over the trailer inside and out and so far I haven't found any real issues but the real test will come this weekend. My dealer (Toyhauler Liquidator in Rocklin CA) did a pretty good PDI on the trailer prior to me taking delivery so not expecting any surprises. I'll report back next week with some pics.

Trailer for the most part was flawless over the weekend. No real issues to report but didn't get any pics. Man does this thing tow nice behind my truck (stock 2012 Dmax). Much nicer tow than my previous FK1900 Weekend Warrior Superlite. Even with the added weight (~4k lbs) I averaged about the same MPG with the 5er.

Yep, they are still building them but they are scarce. You can get them in 28 and 32' lengths. We've been considering ordering a new 32AKLG but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
