Downsizing - 40' Raptor

I think I have the Raptor sold and am thinking about replacement... Really disliked a few things about the Raptor:
1. The size - it's a lot of trailer to pull and park. Also the height kept me out of a lot of campgrounds
2. The floor plan. I will never have a trailer with a freestanding bar again, it makes the space really cramped.
3. The u-shaoed dinette. Not comfortable to sit on

That said the Raptor was very plush, and I did like the master bedroom layout.

So for the replacement I have a couple problems to solve:
1. We have Harleys and a RZR4. I'd like to be able to take both if possible
2. We'd like to be in a smaller frailer as we think we would use it more.
3. Still have three children that camp with us

So thinking of a couple options:
1. Smaller fiver TH pulling the RZR behind (doubles)
2. Smaller bumper pull open floor
3. Bunkhouse fiver pulling doubles
4. Forego taking both toys and go with a 20-24 foot bumper pull


I'm really leaning towards option 4. I can pick up a nice 3-4 yr trailer for ~15K. This means I can't take the bikes and the rzr but it gets me in a lot smaller trailer which I think we would use more.

So I have two questions:
1. Anybody in a similar situation go through something similar? What did you do?
2. Would love recommendation for a smaller front-bedroom rig that will fit the rzr4 (11.5' long, 64" wide and 74" tall)

Sounds like the double tow option could be a candidate

If you went with a non toy hauler you could get a floor plan that you really like and be in a physically smaller rv. Then pickup a small tandem axle trailer to double tow the bike and the rzr. When you don't take your toy's you would have the smaller rv, but you would retain the ability to take all with.

Our previous setup was a 34ish ft 5er and we double towed the toys; worked well but we got to the point were we needed 3 toys so the double tow quit working.

The Desert Fox is a well built toyhauler, they are heavy but you have enough pickup for it anyway. They are not as pimped out as a Raptor, but still nice.

I'm thinking of downsizeing from our Raptor. We have 2 toys that I would like to haul. I'm thinking of a 27' Attitude or Desert Fox bumper pull. Load one toy in the toy hauler and load the other on the truck (07 Druamax Crew Dually). Just the two of us though so don't have to worry about beds. Both of these toy haulers have walk around front queen beds with the option of electric beds in the storage area so they might work for you. I'm with you about a smaller hauler so we will use it more.

A 12' garage will be tight. You might look at the non garage 5th wheel toyhaulers. Like the sandpiper. I'm sure there are other manufacturers. Not sure if they have a main living room slide but most have a bedroom slide and the rear bunks for the kids.

When we first started looking at toyhaulers we were considering a Weekend Warrior non garage model because of the space.

Look at Outback Toy haulers with garage in the front, and side opening door. At least you can take some of your toys.
