A quick survey on where your electric service entrance location is on your fiver. Trying to figure out where to install a power pedestal on our building to accommodate most units.

Our 50 amp service plugs in on the back of the trailer right above the rear bumper on our Elkridge 37 ult.

Dead center rear, just above the bumper.
Sometimes have needed the 25ft extension to reach the pedestal.

Two A/C's question. 50 amp service would be nice for pretrip testing, maybe? Or for electrical troubleshooting? Or for the time you would say, damn I wish I had put in that 50 amp plug!

That's probably worth it right there!

2010 Montana, Rear of camper just below left back-up light.

If you are planning to put your power pedestal to the side of where you will be parking the camper, be sure to take into consideration if you upgrade to a different rig. Your new unit may have a slide there so be sure to compensate for that. When I installed my power pedestal I didn't think I would be upgrading any time soon. That all changed and I went from a 32' 5er to a 39' 5er. My power pedestal was located at the rear of my pad and was only 30amp. Big mistake on my part! I had to remove the old pedestal, relocate to where I KNOW it will never be in the way, upgraded wiring and receptacle. BIG PITA but will never have to worry about it again. Tim

Left FRONT and left REAR.......dual receptacles

I can reach just about any power pedestal without an extension cord :B

If power pedestal is set up middle of parking spot than just about every trailer can reach it to plug in

Really appreciate all of the replies! A special thanks to the toyhaulers! My ideal installation will be as close as possible to my current trailer's plug and future trailers. Looks like I'll split the difference between the axles and the rear.

For anyone still reading, do you see any need to have a 50A service outlet inside a pole-building? This is where I'll be storing it year-round. I can't imagine I'd run 2 A/C's inside a building...?
