Fifth Wheel Slides

I bought a fifth wheel about 6 weeks ago and have it set up in a park close to home. I am going out of town to work for 6 to 8 weeks and want to know if I can leave the power running to keep the AC and Refrigerator running with the slides pulled in while I am gone.

Thank you to all those that respond with their advise!

If you lose power - wouldn't your LP kick in for the fridge? It should operate on LP for several days. Hopefully power would return by then.

Now if you lost power at your own pedestal because of a popped breaker, then different story.

Nome is plugged in for the batteries as well. For always pulled from the fridge, even a week like this one when I've left it on as we will be stocking it next week for a two week trip. I don't like food surprises.

My friend tried that with just the fridge. Then the power went out for some reason...What a stinky mess. I would empty it out and just let it sit..Not much that you leave in there would be very good to eat after that period of time anyway..

Yes, but I would have someone look in on it two or three times a week. Just like a sticks and bricks.

Yes you can, but just wondering why you would leave the frig and especially the air conditioning running for 6-8 weeks in an unoccupied trailer.

Sounds good to me. I have ours plugged in all of the time to keep the batteries up but the A/C and refrigerator are off. Never had a problem.
