Last night was the first night-- went pretty well except we forgot the pillows lol.

Today, the refrigerator/freezer (in the slide) seem to be struggling/not getting and keeping food cold enough. It's on the setting of "5" and "AC" and "auto".

Any suggestions? It's about 96 outside so maybe that is the issue?

Thanks in advance.

My understanding was that the antenna stays like it is. You don't raise or lower it.

Right below the antenna inside the rig you'll find the wind down.

Looks like this.

Has to be right under the antenna, can't be any where else.

I think the frozen bottle idea is good, but certainly would be easer to do with the double sized fridge. On longer stays we don't have the luxury of taking up that much space for the frozen bottles.

Another little tip for increasing refrigerator efficiency in the camper. Freeze bottled water at home and place several of them throughout the fridge in the camper. The ice lasts quite a long time and the frozen mass really helps keep the overall temperature down. I generally use 5 each 16.9 oz water bottles in mine. They usually last 2+ days. If I remember to do it, I try to put the bottles back in the freezer before I go to be and swap them back to the fridge in the morning. Even if the fridge is struggling, the freezer is still usually doing its job!

EDIT: I see somebody already posted about the water bottles while I was munching on my lunch and taking my time to reply.

Good idea about keeping the fridge cool before we go. We usually did with the Puma.

Not this one. We hear there is a campground at Sabine (state park?) on the Texas La border that supposedly has nice riding trails. We intend to check it out.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

I've found the fridge/freezer needs at least 48 hours to get to temp when it's warm. We place bottles of water in the freezer, they should be frozen solid with in the 48 hours. If I need to accelerate the process I place frozen bottles of water in the fridge/freezer and a fan in the fridge, that usually can cut the time down considerably.

These aren't interesting pics, but here is the driveway and lot we will now be across from:

Here is a fun photo of our camping spot:

I should have gotten a nice pic with the awnings out, etc...

Sounds like a backup camera for the Fuzion would be a good investment! Man I wish I had the problem of not being able to get backed into my enclosed storage unit! LOL

Not a great photo, but you see the opposing smaller units to the larger units.

We currently have unit 1 on left

We are going to switch with the owner of the storage unit complex so we will get a large unit opposite of the driveway in and an empty lot, so that should make it significantly easier to get the Fuzion in the unit,

Some storage yards will even help you park your unit. They realize that the spaces are too compact for owners to be able to park their own trailers with full sized tow vehicles, so they'll use a forklift to park yours for you.

In a pleasant turn of events, the storage unit owner offered me a different unit, so I'm going to go check it out in a little while.
