depending on how you drive in, a good bit up north is Huntington Beach State Park. That is a winner for me. Just south of Myrtle so you can get on the bypass and run into myrtle for whatever if you need something.

The sites in the beach loop are well defined like they are in the "other" section. However, the bugs in the "other" section are terrible. The area is remote and quiet with a lot of nice scenery. I think you would enjoy it. There is also a light house to view that has been moved several times in its life time. Hunting Island is one of the fastest eroding islands in the U.S. Enjoy! Phillip
