I helped an RVer in need, just a little

I was cruising down I-20 heading home from Columbia when I came across an older fiver sitting along side the road with its flashers on and a blown left front tire on the trailer. Being a nice guy, I thought I'd stop and offer moral support, or whatever.
Found a young couple that had borrowed his Father's fiver & TV and was heading to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. He'd never changed a trailer tire before and seemed a little concerned.
He found a 6T jack in the bed's toolbox and found a lug wrench under the hood. The lug wrench is mounted on top of the radiator so when he removed it, he realized that it was very very hot. After I cooled it off with a water bottle, he went to work. He didn't know exactly where to place the jack so I grabbed a piece of 2X6 out of the TV's bed and guided the jack's placement. After removing the spare tire from the trailer's bumper, he broke the lug nuts loose and proceeded to remove the blown tire. Piece of case, now. It was going to start raining soon so I bid the couple farewell and hit the road.
I made it 10 miles down the road and the sky opened up. I hope he was able to finish before the rain made it to them. I also hope they have a good weekend in Myrtle Beach.

You say pay it forward,I say it is words to live by. On or about 1996 I was returning from Arizona on I 40. Late after noon I pulled over to assist an older couple traveling in a Motorhome. Thier Rt front tire had blown out. They had a spare but impossible for them to change. I scrached my head as the rig shook violenty as each big rig passed by us at warp speed. I asked out of dispair DO YOU HAVE LEVELING JACKS ? Why yes he replyed. Ok we are in business I had him raise the front of the coach so the wheel was 2 inches off the ground. I changed the wheel and advised him to stop and have the torque checked for safty reasons. I re mounted the bad tire on the rig, and asked for a paper towel to wipe my hands. When came out of the rig he handed me wet wipes in one hand and $ 500 in the other. I absoultly refused to take it untill his wife came out and gave me the what for. Come to find out they had hit a big jack pot at the Casino. So long story short I have been one to promote Pay It Forward. Later on late in the year or I should say beginning of the year in January. Again I was returning from Arizona very late 11pm. I saw there was a car on fire on the side of the.I stopped to assist and found 2 elderly 70+ couple in the car not realizing it was on fire. I removed them from the car and proceded to put out the fire. I took them back to Barstow where I called thier Ins Co.. I had also made arrangements for the tow .I stayed with them for a while and returned them to thier car where we met the tow truck. They had asked me in conversation who I was where I was from What I did for a living. Not knowing what a great memory they had. They had sent a letter reflecting what had happend that evening to the Commanding Officer at the Coast Guard Air Station San Diego. I was reconized by all of my piers and awarded a medal for risking my life while I was assting them . By the simple act of helping a fellow human I was rewarded by my fellow Brothers in the Guard.
